You can add items to the repository for repeated use while creating quotes, jobs, and invoices by following the steps below.
1. Navigate to Settings > Item repository.
The Item repository page is displayed.
2. Click Create new item.
The Create item dialog is displayed.
Note: All the fields marked as Required are mandatory.
3. Select the type of item from the Item type dropdown list.
4. Enter a descriptive note or information about the item in the Description textbox.
This information will be visible to the customers.
5. Enter the quantity or number of hours for the item in the Qty/Hours field.
6. Enter the per unit or hour cost in the Cost per item field.
This information is not visible to the customers.
7. Enter the markup percentage needed to calculate the item price based on the item cost in the Item markup field. Alternatively, enter the per unit price of the item in the Price per item field.
8. Select the VAT rate for the item if you are VAT registered.
9. Click Save changes.
The item is created and displayed.
Note:
- You can edit any item added to the item repository by clicking Edit in the row of the item and making the necessary changes.
- You can delete any item that is no longer needed from the item repository by clicking Delete in the row of the item and confirming the deletion.
- You can export the item repository list by clicking Export.
